... And The Love of Helping People Make Things Better

HI, I'M PETER URBAN,
NICE TO MEET YOU.
I've spent thirty years building, fixing, and scaling technology-based organizations across five continents. Three successful startups. Leadership engagements with companies like Daimler, Chrysler, SAP, and BASF, and advisory work for organizations ranging from LPL Financial to BC Transit to the Government of Alberta, across many industries, and across every stage from founding to turnaround. The common thread has never been a single technology or a sector. It has been the same problem, showing up in different clothes every time: how to build an organization that gets smarter and more efficient as it grows, not just larger? How do you make sure the people, the processes, and the decisions actually compound into something durable and truly scalable? That question has always been hard. In the age of AI, it has become the question that separates organizations that will still matter in five years from the ones that will eventually discover that they've been hollowing themselves out in pursuit of short-term acceleration.
My work today sits at the intersection of technology leadership, organizational capability, and the human dynamics that determine whether either of those delivers lasting results. I am someone who has spent three decades in the room where decisions get made about technology, people, and operating models, and I've become increasingly convinced that the most consequential decisions of this moment are the ones most leaders aren't aware they're making. The AI tools your teams adopted last year are quietly reshaping how your people think, collaborate, and build. Whether that reshaping compounds into a lasting advantage or erodes into invisible dependency is not a technology question. It is a leadership question, and it requires understanding of both the technology and the organizational reality to answer this question the right way. That is what I do. I connect strategic intent to operational execution, and I make sure the bridge between them holds under pressure and becomes the paltform for your long-term success.
